Organization of Public Awareness Workshop on Public Credit Registry and Registry of Securing Charges on Movable Property in Kandahar province
Public Credit Registry Department (PCR) organized a Public Awareness Workshop in Kandahar province with the financial support of World Bank on September 24, 2017. The workshop was attended by the employees of Microfinance Institutions, Representatives of Commerce and Industries, Merchants, University Students and Employees of Da Afghanistan Bank in Kandahar Province. The program started with the opening notes of Mr. Abdul Nasser Sahak, Deputy Director of Public Credit Registry department, described that this workshop will improve the awareness of relevant organizations on how to benefit from the PCR systems and how this System can facilitate access to finance in Afghanistan.
Mr. Mohammad Naeem ‘’”Akbari”, Regional Director of southern zone of Da Afghanistan Bank, acknowledged the efforts of DAB towards the establishment of Public Credit Registry and Registry of Securing Charges on Movable Property and the modernization of the banking system in Afghanistan. Moreover, he appreciated the efforts of Da Afghanistan Bank for facilitating access to finance in the country.
Mr. Abdul Nasser Sahak, Deputy Director of Public Credit Registry department, started the workshop by explaining the vibrant role of both systems for economic development and facilitating access to finance in the country. The workshop was practically continued by Mr. Mohammad Taimur, and Mr. Masih Ahmad. At the end, the Regional Director of DAB appreciated the participation of related stakeholders and admired employees of PCR for providing the detailed information about Public Credit Registries.
